What do Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnerships (MNVPs) do?
We are a group of local parents, birth worker volunteers and staff representing the voices of birthing women and people, their partners and families to improve and develop maternity and neonatal services across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough. Each hospital trust has its own MNVP.
We meet quarterly with senior staff at the hospitals, commissioners, local charities, community and voluntary groups, and Healthwatch Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, to review the experiences and feedback collected from our survey and outreach work. We co-produce improvement projects across each hospital, review care, walk the wards to offer feedback and ensure the voice of the service user is at the heart of the hospital's work.
You may feel that alone, your opinions and feelings about your maternity care, whether good or bad, will not make a difference but by drawing experiences together as a group we can make sure our voices are heard and taken seriously.
